Hi friends, it’s Nadia! 💌 Hope you have all had a lovely start to the New Year. I’ve been on an (unplanned) hiatus recovering from Q4 of 2025. I hope to be back soon next month more consistently (paid subs are paused until then!) I appreciate/miss all of you amazing readers! A few updates:
We’re hosting our first “Community-Led” event of 2026 — a “micro-swap,” which is a lowkey, sample/travel size swap to help fragrance friends sniff and swap together. This is spearheaded by long-time Perfumeverse subscribers & I’m so excited for all the awesome ideas you guys have. I hope you can be there! Please RSVP here on Partiful.
Perfumeverse is looking for contributors, freelancers, interns who want to help us spearhead this publication to new territory this year. If you love to dabble in fragrance/scent, are based in NY/NJ, and have writing and social media experience—please respond to this email~
Take a look back at our Joya Studio Event in October and Pearfat Holiday Mixer in December! We even created a fun zine—reply back if you want a copy.

I haven’t been able to tolerate scent/perfumes too much recently — so my recent favs have been Soma Ayurvedic’s Bombay Fleur Perfume Oil, and lighting Santa Maria Novella’s incense papers.
HIDDEN GEM—> While wandering Williamsburg, I stumbled upon the stunning Japanese fragrance house LINC ORIGINAL MAKERS and picked up their discovery kit (including a NYC-exclusive scent). The brand feels like a perfect mash-up of Le Labo’s modern apothecary energy and Officine Universelle Buly’s old-world heritage—my standout so far is No. 924, a serene blend of freesia, lily of the valley, and cypress that evokes a true forest-bathing (shinrin-yoku) moment. You MUST go!
I missed the NYC pop-up UK-based body care brand 39BC held yesterday. SO excited to try their Fig Milk Body Oil Cleanser —and the entire brand.
Love this clip shared by Jessica Murphy on Heated Rivalry’s star sharing his favorite “JD Malone” scent.
Everyone is saying how fragrance is the latest red carpet accessory—obv?
Salt & Stone installed a 12-foot replica of their popular deodorant on top of Aspen Mountain as part of their immersive pop-up.
If you missed perfumer Michael Nordstrand’s talk at the Getty Museum last year on recreating an ancient perfume, you can now watch it on YouTube.
That’s all for today, friends! Stay warm <3
Thank you for reading, sharing, sniffing, and staying nosey. :) If you enjoyed this, please share it with someone who doesn’t own a bubble jacket. <3
