Nadia, I love how you brought your memories of bakhoor, Eid mornings, and the places you've been into your description of Doubletake. That's one of my favorite things about perfume. Two people can smell exactly the same fragrance and have completely different experiences because of the memories they bring to it. That's actually why I started writing stories around fragrances instead of just reviewing them. And now you've got me curious about Wallflower! Clean laundry and natural oud? I never would have thought to put those two together, but I'd certainly like to smell it!
Thank you for reading Tony! Definitely —that’s what makes perfume so unique and much more than just another category in the “beauty” section. Let me know if you end up trying it or if I see you at an event I’ll def give you a sniff! And yes we need more stories. While it may be unique to you, it will definitely resonate with another!
Absolutely, Nadia! I've always thought perfume deserves a place alongside music, books, and photographs when it comes to telling our stories. And you've definitely put Wallflower on my radar! I'm up in Massachusetts, so I don't make it to the NYC events very often, but if our paths ever cross, I'll happily take you up on that sniff! 😂
